Neuro-Ophthalmology

Neuro-ophthalmology at Eye Clinic of Wisconsin refers to our treatment of vision problems related to the nervous system. We offer one of the only neuro-ophthalmology specialties in the region.

Some of the more commonly seen diseases and symptoms that our neuro-ophthalmologists may see include optic neuritis or neuropathy, papilledema, ocular myasthenia gravis, brain tumors or strokes which affect vision, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, unexplained visual loss, headaches, diplopia, blepharospasm or hemifacial spasm.  David C. Tuman, MD, the surgical neuro-ophthalmologist at Eye Clinic of Wisconsin, also treats strabismus and performs eye muscle surgeries or optic nerve fenestration surgery for the treatment of idiopathic intracranial hypertension. We may also treat blephrospam or hemifacial spasm using botulinum toxin injections.
