Dr. Sprik received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and chemistry from the South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy in Brookings, SD, in 1979. He earned his M.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, SD in 1984 and completed his internship at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, the following year. He pursued his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology in Minneapolis, finishing in 1988. He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine since 1988. Dr. Sprik spent ten years at Willcockson Eye Associates in Yankton, SD, before joining the clinic in 1997.
